This past weekend we celebrated my son's 9th birthday!(where is the time going?) We decided we were going to go with a Forest/Lodge kind of theme... I really just wanted something fun and outdoorsy. So we rented out a beautiful lodge in the woods and thankfully we had decent weather considering they were calling for thunderstorms all weekend! I designed the invitations, stickers, tags, banner and such in beautiful tones such as brown ,teal, orange and greens(all the items are available in my etsy shop). Lori, from "Lori's Place Gourmet Delights".. made the cookies to match my invitations... She made Deer, Pine trees, leaves, pine cones, acorns... She is just so amazing talented! Below are some pictures from the party... it was so much fun and just a great theme to play with!
I bought these cardboard letters and spray painted them with the "faux stone" spray paint in a chocolate color... and then glued moss in different spots on the letters.I surrounded the letters with more moss and some river stones and pine cones..It was my son's favorite thing ( besides Lori's cookies)
I made these cookie jars for all the moms that came to the party ( inspired by the awesome Cowboy Cookie Jars from Bakerella)
Awesome Cookies from Lori's Place Gourmet Delights
Chocolate River Rocks.. so Yummy!
we had a craft table set up for the kids to paint birdhouses and also do some rock painting.. they had so much fun!
Wow, such an amazingly creative party! Fabulous themed treats, too! (So glad to have found your blog via The Twinery.)
